What brought you to CrossFit?
I won a drawing for a free membership to South Tahoe CrossFit in 2012. I tried the free Kool-Aid and got hooked.
What was your first impression? How has it changed?
I was in awe of the other athletes, and I wanted to be like them. Now I am them and I try to set a good example.
What was your first bright spot (win/positive experience)?
I finished the 2015 CrossFit Open in 138th place worldwide in my age group (Mens 55-59).
What are you working on now?
I love challenging movements. Today I practiced deficit handstand pushups.
Except for double-unders. I should be working on my double-unders. Maybe tomorrow.
What’s your favourite Empower memory so far?
Every time I see a new(er) member demonstrate good technique on an Olympic lift.
